Jacoba came into the world bearing the surname van Dijk even though it was four years past the death of Jan van Dijk, her supposed father. Margaretha, widow of Jan van Dijk and Jacoba's mother, carried the middle name of Helena, instead of Emilia, for a few of these records. There would have been several reasons to do this, but I will not speculate.
As the years pass Jacoba eventually became recorded as Camphuijsen, with no person named as her father and Margaretha still as her mother, as illustrated by her official marriage record. For Jacoba's death record she continues to be Jacoba Camphuijsen, with no father officially recorded.
